Rowing New Zealand

Rowing NZ

Aon has been a major partner of Rowing New Zealand for over 14 years.

The key focus of our relationship with Rowing NZ is our sponsorship of the largest school sports event in the country - the New Zealand Secondary Schools Rowing Championships and the 'Aon Maadi Cup'.

This event alternates each year between Lake Karapiro and Lake Ruataniwha and is attended by over 120 schools and over 2,200 young rowers.

Aon are proud to announce an exciting new promotion - the Aon Maadi Cup Legacy.

Aon and Laszlo Boats collaborated to find a way to recognise the hard work and determination of athletes, as well as the support of their schools, and so the Aon Maadi Cup Legacy was born.  The decision to reward the winners of both the male and female under-17 single scull race was simple. Not every school has the ability to enter an eight, or even a team of four, but most schools in the country could participate in the single scull event.

Aon is proud to support youth athletes in a variety of sports; and rowing is no exception. By supporting the under-17 age group, Aon believes they are encouraging capable and determined young athletes to have the opportunity to put their best foot (or oar) forward the following year, with a boat manufactured with the latest innovative rowing technology. The terms and conditions associated with this promotion can be found here.

Thanks to Laszlo Boats NZ for partnering with us to offer this fantastic initiative. Find out more about Laszlo Boats:
